CFR Cardiac First Responder Training Course Galway: This CFR course is recognised by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council ( PHECC ). Padraic Nee is a member of a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council recognised institution.
A Cardiac first responder plays a critical role in keeping a person alive until the arrival of expert medical care.
The CFR course is video based ( PHECC video ), there is plenty practical sessions throughout the course for the learners to practice their CFR skills.
A Cardiac First Responder may be part of the Emergency Medical Services, a Healthcare Practitioner or a member of the public who has completed the PHECC recognised course.
CFR TrainingCourse Aim: To provide Learners with the skills, knowledge and attitude to preform the role of CFR correctly and safely and to keep a person alive until the arrival of expert medical care.
CFR TrainingCourse Objectives: On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
Recognize several life-threatening emergencies ( Cardiac Arrest, Heart Attack, Choking and Stroke )
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - CPR,
Use an Automated External Defibrillator - AED,
Relieve choking
Keep a person alive until emergency services arrive and take over.

CFR Training Course Duration 4 to 6 hours
CFR Course Who should attend ? There is no specific entry criteria including a minimum age. However, a course participant must be mature enough to comprehend the knowledge, skills and implications associated with defibrillation and have a maturity to complete assessment to receive certification.
Certification on completion of course Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a Pre-hospital Emergency Care Council Cardiac First Responder certificate valid for two years.
