Abrasive Wheel Training Course Galway
This abrasive wheel training course covers the safety around the use and handling of abrasive wheels in the workplace such as industry, manufacturing, construction, aircraft maintenance environment, retail and suppliers of abrasive wheels.
 
Abrasive Wheel Training Course Aim:

To provide Learners with the skills , knowledge and attitude  to use abrasive wheels correctly and safely e.g.  Angle grinders,  Bench grinders, Consaws, to store and handle abrasive wheels correctly.
 
Abrasive Wheel Training Course Objectives:
On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
  • Understand their responsibilities relating to abrasive wheels
  • Select correct discs and wheels
  • Mount discs and wheels correctly & safely,
  • Identify hazards associated with abrasive wheels
  • Use abrasive wheels safely
  • Dress and true abrasive wheels

Abrasive Wheel Training Course Contents:
  • Mounting of abrasive wheels
  • Hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels and precautions which should be observed
  • Marking on abrasive wheels as to type and speed
  • Storing, handling and transporting abrasive wheels
  • Inspecting and testing abrasive wheels to check for damage
  • Functions of all components used with abrasive wheels
  • Assembling all components and of correct balancing of abrasive wheels
  • Dressing an abrasive wheel
  • Adjustment of the rest / guard of an abrasive wheel

Abrasive Wheel Training Course Duration 3 to 4 hours
